.SHORT TERM /THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT/...
Issued at 150 AM MDT Wed Jul 16 2025

Expect cooler and drier weather today behind a cold front that
passed through the region last night. Highs in most lower elevations
will be in the mid 80s today. The ridge will begin to amplify once
again on Thursday. We will see a return of low to mid 90s across the
lower elevations. We will see breezy conditions Thursday afternoon
with gusts of 20 to 25 mph likely, especially across the central
mountains and through the upper Snake Plain. Some monsoonal moisture
will arrive late in the afternoon. This may result in an isolated
storm or two across the southern highlands.

&&

.LONG TERM /FRIDAY THROUGH TUESDAY/...
Issued at 150 AM MDT Wed Jul 16 2025

Friday and Saturday will be continued warm with southerly flow
across the region. Highs will likely be in the lower 90s across the
lower elevations. Monsoonal moisture will continue to stream into
the region resulting in isolated chances for thunderstorms both
days. Winds continue to look breezy with gusts of 20 to 25 mph
likely from the central mountains through the upper Snake Plain. A
shortwave trough will arrive late Saturday which will push the
monsoonal moisture east. We should see drier and slightly cooler air
for Sunday with most model solutions showing this trend continuing
into early next week.

.AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z THURSDAY/...
Issued at 1001 AM MDT Wed Jul 16 2025

High pressure is back in place and will keep CIG/VSBY with just
a FEW cumulus and altocumulus, with a lot of time SKC. Wind
until Thu will be driven by slope-valley interaction, with some
gusty wind during the late afternoon. Stronger upper level flow
from the west will mean stronger, gustier wind for Thu.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 150 AM MDT Wed Jul 16 2025

Winds and humidity are not expected to reach critical levels today.
Marginally critical fire conditions are expected Thursday afternoon.
across the central mountains into the Snake Plain where low to mid
teens for minimum humidities will combine with wind gusts of 20 to
30 mph. Winds look a touch lighter Friday and humidities may be
just a tad higher as well with monsoon moisture working into
the area.
