.Discussion...
No critical fire weather conditions are expected over the next 7
days. Moist, southwest flow aloft will result in daily showers and
thunderstorms over the district, with the heaviest rainfall expected
over the San Juans and the Upper Rio Grande Valley. A Flood Watch
remains in effect through 12AM Friday. Friday and Saturday, heavy
rain potential shifts a bit further east, with some more activity
expected over the eastern mountains and portions of the plains. Will
have to keep a close eye on the Aspen Burn scar for potential
impacts. Temperatures cool off as we head into next week, with at
least scattered showers and storms expected over most of the region.
Smoke dispersions will be poor over the Continental Divide today,
and good or better over the lower terrain. For Friday, dispersion
rates will be poor over most of the mountains, and fair to good
elsewhere.
