.Discussion...
Dry and breezy conditions this afternoon will continue to produce
some spotty critical to near critical fire weather conditions in
the San Luis valley, but winds will diminish quickly this evening.
Another round of low clouds, fog and some light showers/drizzle will
spread across the southeast plains tonight into Tuesday morning with
gradual clearing and improvement Tuesday afternoon while the west
remains dry.
The weather will dry out and warm up for most areas through mid to
late week. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible,
mainly over the mountains. Shower and thunderstorm chances will
increase Friday into next weekend as southwest flow picks up some
Pacific moisture and the next upper level system passes to our
north. Best chances for wetting rains will be Friday night and
Saturday along the Continental Divide.
Afternoon dispersions will remain poor across most of the plains
on Tuesday but rise into the good or better categories across
the mountains. All areas will see improvement into the good to
excellent dispersions for Wednesday afternoon.
