Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
236 PM MDT Mon Sep 23 2024

.Discussion...

An upper level ridge will dominate the weather across southern
Colorado the next several days, bringing dry conditions and
warmer than average temperatures to all locations. Some
briefly gusty north winds are possible on the plains
Tuesday behind a weak cold front, but overall winds will
remain light enough to prevent any critical fire weather
conditions through the week.

Afternoon smoke dispersion will range from fair to good
across most of the district Tuesday, and some very good
levels will be possible over the southeast plains. On
Wednesday, transport winds weaken, keeping dispersion
in the poor to fair category at most locations.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
