corridor and Fremont County until 6 PM today...
.Discussion...
Critical fire weather conditions will persist into early evening
along the southern I-25 corridor and across Fremont County, before
winds diminish and conditions improve this evening.
A return to wetter conditions is expected starting late tonight,
as a large upper level weather system moves across the western U.S.
through the weekend. An initial wave of rain and snow showers is
likely during the day Thursday, then heavier and more widespread
precipitation is possible Friday night and Saturday, with
accumulating snow over the mountains and rain and snow over lower
elevations. A warming/drying trend then starts Sunday and continues
into early next week.
Afternoon smoke dispersion on Thursday will reach very good to
excellent levels on Thursday, before falling back into the fair
to good range on Friday as mixing heights decrease.
