.Discussion...
Updated to adjust precipitation chances overnight based on the
latest model guidance.
Moisture will remain in place through Saturday before a drying
trend sets in for late weekend into early next week. This will
mean scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms for Friday
and Saturday before storms trend to more isolated coverage for
Sunday into early next week. Locally heavy rainfall will be
possible with storms over the next couple days with a few strong
to severe storms possible across the southeast plains. Otherwise
temperatures will remain below normal with good humidity recoveries
overnight and light winds, except near thunderstorms. No critical
fire weather days are likely over the next 7 days.
Fair to good afternoon dispersions can be expected over the mountains
and valleys and far eastern plains for Friday, with pockets of poor
over the southeast mountains and adjacent plains. Dispersions will
be fair to good for most areas on Saturday.
