.Discussion...
Critical fire weather conditions are not expected for today. Brief
elevated fire weather conditions may be possible through our gap
flows tomorrow, especially through Huerfano County, as westerly
winds look to gust occasionally to 25 mph and relative humidity
values look to fall into the mid teens.
Dry weather looks to persist through mid-week, though winds look to
be weak for both Wednesday and Thursday at this time. Our next
weather system arrives around the Friday or Saturday timeframe,
though models remain very inconsistent with its timing and potential
track. Depending on how this next system plays out, we may have the
potential for critical fire weather conditions ahead of its arrival,
especially on Friday over our plains.
Afternoon smoke dispersions will be mainly poor today, with a few
pocks of fair rates over the eastern mountains, the Ramparts, and
the Palmer Divide. Rates improve for most zones tomorrow.
