.DISCUSSION...

Spotty showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and
evening (through 1900) on the burn scar.  At this time, cells are tracking
southeast along the western edge, with activity northwest across Fremont
County.  This activity will track southeast through the next several hours.
Storms that move across the burn scar will be capable of producing localized
heavy rainfall, lightning and outflow wind gusts near 50 mph.  Thunderstorm
activity looks to dissipate between 1800 and 1900, with quiet conditions
overnight into Friday morning.  Upper level high pressure will sit  across
western Colorado on Friday with another upper wave pushing east along the
eastern mountains.  Drier air will be in place, helping to limit thunderstorm
coverage.  Isolated to scattered activity is forecast near the burn scar
with lightning, brief heavy rainfall and gusty outflow winds expected
during the afternoon.
