.DISCUSSION...

Our warming trend continues through the weekend as high
temperatures heat up into the mid/upper 90s across western Nevada
and NE California with 80s for Sierra communities. While we are
not expected to approach any records, areas of moderate HeatRisk
are likely over the weekend. Be sure to stay hydrated and take
any necessary safety precautions during the afternoon heat.

Overall we are expecting a mostly dry weekend with typical
afternoon breezes prevailing. We could see some cumulus
development during afternoon heating but any shower activity
should be limited with less than a 10% chance expected.

Early next week could see increased chances for showers and
thunderstorms as a closed low moves inland. While some track
uncertainties remain, the best potential is concentrated along NE
California and NW Nevada next Monday-Tuesday. There is potential
for these storm to by high-based, faster moving dry storms. This,
in conjunction with increased west winds, could yield potential
fire weather impacts next week. Fuentes
