...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following
  county, Montgomery.

* WHEN...Until 315 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or
  stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 119 AM EDT, A rapid river rise has occurred along the
    South Fork of the Roanoke River near Shawsville due to
    rainfall of between 1 and 3 inches.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    South Fork Roanoke River.
    Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Shawsville and Crockett Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
