Weather hazards expected... Limited non thunderstorm wind risk. Elevated fire weather risk. DISCUSSION... Winds will be gusty out of the south southwest today, especially along and west of I-49. West of Springfield, they will be sustained up to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 35 miles per hour. Elsewhere to the east, winds will be around 15 miles per hour with gusts up to 25 miles per hour. Minimum afternoon relative humidity values will be 35 to 25 percent. Coupled with the gusty winds, this will result in elevated fire danger today, especially where winds are strongest. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
