At 2 AM, a 1024 mb high was 400 nautical miles west of Crescent City and extended broadly through the Pacific Northwest and southeast into western New Mexico. Patchy dense fog will continue this morning. Weak onshore flow from the northwest will prevail through Wednesday night. Southerly winds will increase Thursday ahead of a storm that will bring strong winds and steep seas late Thursday through Friday as a front passes through the coastal waters.
