.DISCUSSION...
Partly cloudy and hot with S/SW wind 5 to 10 mph with RH mins
dropping into the upper 30% range in many locales. There are a
few showers and isolated thunderstorms well east of I-49 most of
which are slowly lifting NW over the Kisatchie District. The upper
level high and it`s sinking air are drifting to the NE and moving
slowly away from our area. This will tone down the heat a couple
of few degrees, but the chance for rain remains the same slim to
none for now. There is an upper low edging toward the eastern Gulf
and one model brings it close by us this weekend. In addition, a
weak front to the north will help to give us a little better
chance to get wet by Sunday and next Monday. Tuesday begins Fall
with the equinox at 7:05 pm on 9/22.
