.DISCUSSION...
The extended stretch of very hot temperatures will continue this
weekend with mid to upper 90s and some isolated triple digits.
Drier air in place will result in min RH values ranging between
25-35 percent with southerly winds generally remaining below 10
mph. However, the dry air in place may contribute to some slightly
higher gusts mixing down to the surface during the afternoon hours
throughout this weekend as high pressure continues to dominate.
Therefore, fire danger may become even more elevated under these
conditions given how dry fuels have become over the past several
weeks. By the middle of next week, it appears that heat relief
will finally arrive in the form of a cold front shifting into the
region. Unfortunately, little if any rainfall looks to come our
way with this front.
