...New AVIATION...

.KEY MESSAGES...

- Hot and dry conditions will prevail through most of this week.

&&

.SHORT TERM...
(Today and tonight)
Issued at 1253 AM CDT Mon Jun 8 2026

Mid-upper level ridging will continue to influence our weather
today. Similar to yesterday low level stratus this morning will
burn off by the afternoon giving way to mostly sunny skies. Highs
will climb into the mid to upper 90s, with the hottest
temperatures in the Big Country. Lows will be mild in the 70s.

&&

.LONG TERM...
(Tuesday through Sunday)
Issued at 1227 AM CDT Mon Jun 8 2026

The 500mb ridge across the south central United States Tuesday
will continue to provide subsidence across central and south Texas
through the rest of the week. Near normal high temperatures
Tuesday will become above normal Wednesday and remain above normal
through the rest of the week into the weekend. Not much in the
way of rain chances are expected until Sat night into Sunday as
the upper level ridge of high pressure weakens across north Texas
as a weak 500mb shortwave trough moves across the southern plains
of the United States Sat night into Sunday. This will provide a
low chance (20 to 30 percent) of showers and thunderstorms across
portions of the CWA Sat night into Sunday.

all terminals this morning and continue into the evening hours.
