...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Aguada, Anasco, Arecibo, Camuy, Hatillo, Lares, Las
  Marias, Moca, San Sebastian and Utuado.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM AST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over
  roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 313 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen, mainly over
    portions of Arecibo, Hatillo, Lares, and San Sebastian.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
