.DISCUSSION...
On Wednesday, temperatures will remain near record highs again
with low humidity and breezy wind conditions.
A primary threat to the burn site on Wednesday will isolated dry
thunderstorms with the main hazards being lightning and about a 5%
chance of erratic wind gusts in excess of 60 mph within 25 miles
of the fire, due a dry microburst threat with any storm that form.
The highest chance of impacts from a thunderstorm will be between
2pm and 6pm. The chance of a wetting rain from any storms that
develop will be near 0%.
A strong cold front passage will then follow Wednesday evening
with the gusty southwesterly winds to around 25-30 mph from the
southwest shifting to around to the northwest. Behind the cold
front Wednesday evening there is about a 40% chance of wind gusts
of 40 mph or higher for a 1 to 2 hour period behind the cold
front, starting around 9-10 pm.
