.DISCUSSION...A low pressure system moving through the region will
bring showers and occasional thunderstorms through this evening.
Moderate to heavy rainfall can be expected with these storms, with
precipitation totals of 0.50-1.00" likely through tonight. Limited
mixing today will keep the Clearing Index well below 500 through
this afternoon. Lingering moisture will maintain a chance of showers
and thunderstorms Tuesday. Increased daytime heating Tuesday will
allow for somewhat better mixing, which should boost the Clearing
Index over 500.
