.DISCUSSION...Convection has begun on the eastern (Piute) side of the
Cottonwood burn scar. Convection has been delayed a bit today on
the western (Beaver) side given a stable airmass from some thicker
clouds this morning. Convection will become more likely on the
western side over the next 1 to 2 hours. Highest intensity
rainfall chances will be within a 3 to 7pm window. Storm chances
will gradually decrease after 9pm with dry conditions likely after
midnight. Storm motion will generally be up drainage (west to
east) today.
Moisture will shift further east tomorrow with the highest
precipitation chances across Colorado, but there remains a 30%
chance of storms tomorrow afternoon for the burn scar. Storms will
have a similar initiation time tomorrow as they did today with a
storm motion still remaining up drainage (west to east).
