Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
328 AM EDT Fri May 9 2025

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

A High Risk of rip currents remains in place at all area beaches
again today. This is thanks to persistent onshore flow and swell
periods remaining around 6 seconds. The swell period is forecast to
decrease to 5 seconds over the weekend as winds turn more
southeasterly. However, surf heights will remain around 2 to 4 feet
through the weekend, so we`ll maintain a High Risk of Rip currents
for all area beaches through the weekend. Chances for showers and
thunderstorms remain high to very high through the weekend.
