DISCUSSION...
Above normal temperatures and south winds gusting up to 30 miles
an hour, combined with ongoing drought conditions will pose a
limited fire weather threat late this morning through the
afternoon across much of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.

Showers and thunderstorms will move into eastern Oklahoma from the
west by late this afternoon and will spread slowly east this
evening and overnight. A limited severe weather threat will exist
through this evening mainly across parts of northeast Oklahoma
west of Highway 75. Damaging winds will be the main severe weather
threat, but an isolated QLCS tornado may also occur. Locally
heavy rainfall may result in some localized flash flooding
overnight.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Periods of showers and storms will continue Thursday and Thursday
night, with locally heavy rainfall remaining possible. A limited
severe weather risk will also develop Thursday afternoon and
evening, with damaging winds being the main threat. The showers
and storms will begin to taper off by Friday, with a few showers
possibly lingering into Saturday.
