DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorms are expected to redevelop late this evening across
north-central Oklahoma. These storms will grow in strength and
coverage across northeast Oklahoma and eventually spread east and
south into the remainder of Oklahoma and western Arkansas after
midnight. Instability and wind shear will be sufficient for some
of this activity to reach severe limits. Damaging wind gusts to 65
mph and quarter size hail will be the main threats, however, a
tornado are two will also be possible, especially across northeast
Oklahoma. In addition, torrential downpours with this activity
will combine with saturated soils to produce rapid runoff and
flash flooding potential across portions of northeast Oklahoma
late this evening and overnight. Localized heavy rains will spread
across the remainder of Oklahoma and portions of western Arkansas
through Sunday morning as the storm complex moves south. Although
more limited, some areas are likely to experience further
flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Activation of the Regional Spotter Network Likely.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
FRIDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast into early next week,
with a limited severe weather potential. Locally heavy rainfall
will also remain possible with the storms. An uptick in
thunderstorm chances may occur late Wednesday and Wednesday night
as a weak cold front approaches from the north and washes out
somewhere in our vicinity by Thursday.
