...EXTREME HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH
SATURDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures around
  105 in
  Kingman, Golden Valley, and Dolan Springs; around 110 in Las Vegas,
  Pahrump, Barstow-Daggett, the Morongo Basin and Twentynine Palms,
  and 115 in Laughlin, Bullhead City, Needles, and Lake Havasu City,
  and around 120 at Furnace Creek in Death Valley National Park.
  Minimal overnight relief from the heat is expected as low
  temperatures remain very warm.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest Arizona, southeast California, and
  south central and southern Nevada.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat events. Above normal daytime temperatures combined
  with minimal overnight relief from the heat will increase
  potential heat impacts.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Widespread Major to isolated Extreme Heat
  Risk is possible, which could affect much of the general
  population without proper hydration or adequate cooling.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
