.DISCUSSION...
A cold front is slowly moving through the Western Brooks Range
bringing heavy rain to the Western Brooks Range to the Seward
Peninsula. This cold front will continue southeast bringing this
rain through the Western Interior. Temperatures cool slightly
behind the front with highs in the mid to upper 50s on Monday.
Minimum RHs increase with the rain. Winds will shift to the NW
behind the front with gusts up to 20 mph possible near the Chukchi
Sea and Kotzebue Sound and only up to 15 mph further inland.
Another round of rain comes Tuesday night through the end of the
week as a new low approaches the West Coast from the Bering Sea.
