.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Sunday...Scattered showers/thunderstorms
are expected to continue in the mountains this evening with
isolated storms in the northern plains. Near critical fire
weather conditions are possible south of I-70 on Sunday, with RH
values dipping as low as 15% and southerly winds gusting up to 35
mph. Thunderstorms and wetting rain are expected to develop for
the mountains and northern/northeastern plains by the afternoon
and continue through the late evening.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Sunday night through Thursday...Another
round of precipitation is possible across the mountains and plains
on Monday. Tuesday will be breezy, especially across the eastern
plains, with northerly winds gusting up to 40 mph at times.
However, RH values are expected to stay above 20%. Warmer and
drier conditions are expected by Wednesday onward, with near
critical fire weather conditions are possible for South Park
Wednesday and Thursday. Smoke dispersal conditions will range from
Good to Excellent across the mountains and plains each day in the
afternoon hours.
