.DISCUSSION...
The combination of near record to record high temperatures
in upper 70s to low 80s, low humidity, and gusty west
winds of 25 mph an occasionally as high as 35 mph will continue
critical fire weather conditions through this afternoon for
areas near and north of I-80. Good humidity recovery tonight
(70-90 percent) as a weak cold front moves through after midnight.
Fire concerns then lessen into the weekend and next week, as
cooler temperatures return to the area. In addition,
wetting moisture is possible across the area Sunday night into
Monday, though amounts are expected be light.
