This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Texas and Oklahoma

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Critical to potentially extremely critical fire weather conditions
are likely to develop today. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for
the entire Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles from 1 PM to 9 PM. Windy
conditions are expected through tonight. A High Wind Warning has
been issued for the southwestern Texas Panhandle, and a Wind
Advisory has been issued for the remainder of the west and central
Texas Panhandle this afternoon and evening. In addition, there is
a marginal chance for thunderstorms across the eastern and
northeastern combined Panhandles this afternoon ahead of an
incoming dryline. There is the potential that these storms could
produce severe winds and isolated severe hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible
Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.


Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time.

Area fire managers and emergency officials should be alert for
elevated to critical fire weather conditions Sunday, Monday,
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
