during November in La Crosse, Wisconsin...

The average temperature for the month was 32.4 degrees. This was 3.5
degrees below normal. The average high temperature was 38.4 degrees
and the average low was 26.4 degrees. The highest temperature was 50
degrees on the 25th, and the lowest temperature was 6 degrees on the
12th.

La Crosse received 2.74 inches of precipitation during the month of
November. This was 0.73 inches above normal. The greatest 24-hour
precipitation total was 0.86 inches which occurred on the 21st.
Total snowfall for the month was 6.5 inches. The greatest 24-hour
snowfall total was 4.5 inches which occurred on the 6th.

On November 6th, 4.5 inches of snow was reported. This broke the
previous record of 2.0 inches set back in 1896.

...Discussion...

The first half of the month was unseasonably cold (tied for 2nd coldest
with 1951 - only 1991 was colder), while the last half of the month averaged
4.2 degrees above normal. There were 7 days where the daily
average temperature was 10 degrees or more below the normal. This
cold stretch lasted from the 1st to the 15th. There were 6 days with
high temperatures at or below 32 degrees.

It was wetter than normal for the month of November in La Crosse.
The wettest stretch occurred at the end the month, with a total of
1.33 inches of liquid accumulating over a 7 day period. There were 3
days of measurable snowfall and 15 days of measurable precipitation.
