Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
604 AM EDT Thu Jun 12 2025

A cold front over the Lower Great Lakes this morning will drift
slowly south across the Commonwealth this afternoon and evening.

A very warm and moderately humid airmass over Central Pennsylvania
and the Susquehanna Valley will interact with this boundary to
develop isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms from the
mid afternoon through the mid evening hours.

Robust winds aloft from the west-northwest could mix down to the
surface as locally strong to damaging gusts in the more potent
individual thunderstorms.

Today will be the warmest day of this week and the next several
days with highs in the upper 70s across the north and mid to
upper 80s over Central and Southern portions of the state.

An unsettled pattern, caused by the frontal boundary stalling out
across Southern Pennsylvania or Northern Virginia with several
disturbances aloft riding east over the region, will occur for
Friday through the Father`s Day weekend with more numerous showers
and thunderstorms.
