.DISCUSSION...
Breezy winds with gusts to 30-35 mph and humidity at or below 25%
this afternoon will yield at least an elevated fire weather
threat today for much of the region as dried and cured fuels are
abundant. Lowest humidity this afternoon will be found near and
west of I-35. Sustained winds and gusts will quickly diminish
after sunset. Moisture will gradually be on the increase this
week, and with lower wind speeds, will preclude a higher fire
weather threat through this upcoming weekend. Isolated to
scattered shower and storm chances return to the region late this
weekend into early next week.
