This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

Isolated to widely scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are
possible after 5 PM MDT along the KS-CO border. Large hail to two
inches in diameter and wind gusts to 70 mph are possible. Any
thunderstorms that develop are expected to move east into western
Kansas and extreme southwest Nebraska reaching an Oberlin to Grinnell
line by 9 PM MDT (10 PM CDT). The strong winds may produce blowing
dust creating reduced visibilities. The storms are expected to weaken
by late evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...

There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms to develop late
Friday afternoon, continuing through the overnight hours. Large hail
and damaging winds will be the primary threats, although a few
tornadoes are also possible.

A strong cold front will push through the area during the day
Saturday with the potential for north-northwest winds gusting over 40
mph.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed this evening.
