...Light snow accumulations possible in North Carolina mountains
along the Tennessee border...

Snow showers associated with an upper level disturbance have
developed in the mountains of the Tennessee border counties, with
roads quickly becoming covered and slick. Light snow accumulations
of up to 2 inches will be possible, leading to potentially
hazardous driving conditions especially at elevations above 3500
feet. This combined with the strong winds may also result in
significantly reduced visibilities across the area. Drivers are
encouraged to exercise caution and be alert for slippery
conditions this morning. Conditions should improve late this
morning as temperatures begin to rise above freezing.
