Showers and thunderstorms tracked across western Kansas from the
evening into the overnight hours. These storms produced wind
gusts up to 82 mph near Edson. Eastern portions of the state were
dry overnight. Winds were light and variable except western Kansas
with the storms and behind the precipitation activity.
Temperatures dropped to the lower 60s to lower 70s.

Patchy fog is possible in eastern Kansas and Missouri in the
morning which should dissipate with daytime heating. Temperatures
are forecast to be in the lower 80s to lower 90s to start the work
week. Southeast to south winds are anticipated at speeds of 5 to
15 mph with the stronger speeds in the High Plains. Another round
of showers and storms will develop in the afternoon into the
evening with chances across much of the Central Plains.

Strong to severe storms are expected in the evening across western
Nebraska and western Kansas. These storms could produce damaging
winds to 80 mph, hail up to baseball size and possibly even a few
tornadoes. This activity will push east and south into the
nighttime hours; there should be a gradual decrease in intensity
of these storms. Temperatures will drop to the mid 50s in western
Nebraska to the lower 70s in southeastern Kansas into eastern
Oklahoma. Light and variable winds are anticipated.
