Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
310 PM EST Sat Nov 16 2019

.DISCUSSION...Patchy rain will persist mainly across the eastern
Midlands into this evening, then taper off by midnight as low pressure
lifts slowly northeast and off the coast. Low-level moisture will
remain through Sunday night, but no additional rain is expected.
A weak frontal boundary crossing from west to east on Monday will
introduce a small chance for showers mainly across the north Midlands.
Dry weather with a moderating trend in temperatures is expected
at this time for Tuesday through Thursday with high pressure centered
south of the area.

Fog potential for tonight: Good mixing will disperse any particulate
and prevent any fog formation.

Surface winds Sunday will be from the north at 5 to 10 mph after
daybreak, then diminish to around 5 mph by late afternoon. Transport
winds will be north at 15 to 20 mph by late morning, then diminish by
late evening.
