Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
236 AM EDT Tue Sep 17 2019

.DISCUSSION...Expect mostly dry conditions through the week. A
front will drop down from the north this evening and overnight and
may trigger widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. The
limited coverage will make rainfall unlikely at any particular
location. Behind the front, a cooler and even drier air mass will
move in for the remainder of the week. Min RH values this
afternoon will range from 30 to 40 percent. Winds will generally
be light and variable today, picking up tonight through Wednesday
behind the front. Surface winds will be out of the NE tonight and
Wednesday with speeds from 5 to 10 mph, transport winds Wednesday
will be from 10 to 15 mph.

Fog potential for tonight: Dry air and mixing will prevent fog.
