...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL AND
SOUTH CENTRAL MONTROSE COUNTIES THROUGH 615 PM MDT...

At 545 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Naturita, or 36 miles east of La Sal, moving east at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Nucla, Naturita, and Vancorum.

This includes the following highways...
 Colorado 90 between mile markers 28 and 33.
 Colorado 141 between mile markers 46 and 69.
 Colorado 145 between mile markers 111 and 116.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Brief heavy rain is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
