...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN HYDE COUNTY THROUGH
300 PM EDT...

At 218 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a waterspout over Pamlico Sound north of the
Ocracoke Ferry Terminal, or 19 miles west of Frisco, moving south at
20 mph.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
         and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Ocracoke Lighthouse and Ocracoke Ferry Terminal.
