.Synopsis for the Long Island and Connecticut coastal waters...
High pressure over the area tonight will retreat to the north
and east through Friday night, as a potential tropical storm
takes shape off the southeast coast. This area of low pressure
will work northward and impact the area over the weekend and into
early next week. Behind it, high pressure reasserts itself as it
builds south out of Canada.
