showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly in far
eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Thunderstorms with locally
heavy rain were located in Adair and Cherokee counties in Oklahoma
and Franklin county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Fort
Smith area. Movement was to the east at around 25 mph. The average
amount where it rained last hour was one tenth to one quarter of an
inch with maximum amounts of two and a half to three inches.
Coverage increased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for
late tonight and early this morning, cloudy, occasional showers with
thunderstorms likely with temperatures 59 to 64 degrees and
southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
