Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Northern Vermont and
Northern New York
National Weather Service Burlington VT
437 AM EDT Fri May 14 2021

...Warm and Dry With Isolated Showers in the Afternoon...

.DISCUSSION...
Forecast temperatures are expected to climb into the upper 60s to
mid 70s under mostly sunny skies. Strong mixing will result in
relative humidities falling towards 20 to 30 percent.
Additionally, northwest winds around 10 mph with occasional gusts
to 20 mph will be possible. An isolated shower will be possible
today, but amounts, if any, will be light and not widespread. A
variety of observations are indicating increased dryness over the
region and decreasing soil moisture. These warm, dry conditions
are expected to continue into Saturday, allowing for the
continued drying of fuels across the North Country.
