.DISCUSSION...
While most of the light snow showers/flurries have moved east of
the area as of 10 AM CST, a second disturbance may generate an
isolated flurry this afternoon. Though, no accumulation is
expected. Otherwise, expect skies to gradually clear through the
day allowing temperatures to warm into the upper 30s to mid-40s
(coldest over the snow pack in northwest IN). With dew points
expected to increase this afternoon it appears minimum RH values
should remain in the 45-55% range, but a pocket of 35-40% RH may
develop in west-central IL where warmer temperatures are forecast.
Winds will continue to increase through the afternoon with
southwesterly gusts in the 25-30 mph range this afternoon, though
locally higher gusts up to 35 mph will be possible from early to
mid-afternoon.
A gradual warming trend is expected through the remainder of the
week, with additional breezy winds tomorrow. Temperatures have
the potential to reach 10 to 15 degrees above normal Friday and
Saturday. Another system will provide the next chance for rain
this weekend.
