Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Central Florida
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
300 PM EDT Sun Jul 13 2025

.DISCUSSION...

An unsettled pattern with high daily rain chances (70-80%) is
expected through mid week as a surface trough gradually develops
into a low pressure system as it tracks across Florida Monday and
Tuesday, departing into the North Gulf by Wednesday. Low confidence
in forecast wind direction Monday and Tuesday due to uncertainty in
location and development of the trough/low, but effectively light
and variable winds expected. While temperatures are forecast near
normal (L90s), humid conditions will produce peak heat index values
between 102-107 degrees. There are no min RH concerns through the
period. Afternoon smoke dispersion remains fair due to light winds.

Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
