Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
127 PM MST Sat Apr 17 2021

.DISCUSSION...
Near normal temperatures are expected through the weekend before
a warming trend starts on Monday. There is a 20-40% chance for a
few light showers Sunday afternoon mainly north and east of
Phoenix along with a small chance for a lightning strike or two.
Little rainfall accumulation is expected with these showers.
Gusty erratic outflow winds around 25-35 mph will be possible
with any isolated thunderstorms that develop on Sunday with
outflows most favored to come from the north.

Winds will generally be light during the evening and overnight
hours after afternoon breezes subside today; winds pick up again
Sunday, especially along the Lower Colorado River Valley where
gusts upwards of 25-30 mph will be possible. Overnight maximum RHs
will remain around 20-35% for most locations; locally higher
values will exist across the high terrain of southern Gila County.
Minimum RH values will remain around 10% or less for most areas.

...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
