...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM CDT
FOR SOUTH CENTRAL THOMAS AND NORTHEASTERN LOGAN COUNTIES...

At 646 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Winona, or 20
miles west of Oakley, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. At 0647 PM CDT, egg sized hail was
         reported in Winona.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of south
central Thomas and northeastern Logan Counties.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 68 and 75.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
