.SYNOPSIS...The fairly dry conditions will continue through the
week, though some light, isolated showers are possible during the
overnight in portions of Elko county. Otherwise, slight cooling
for tomorrow, followed by a slow warming trend through the weekend
with readings in the 70s at many locations by Saturday and Sunday.
Each afternoon will see breezy winds with quiet conditions for
each night.

.SHORT TERM...Tonight through Wednesday night.

Skies are partly sunny today across the area. The flow will
continue to remain out of the northwest through the short term
period. Winds will continue to be breezy but winds will diminish
for the overnight. A cold front will sag southward during the
night. Very light precipitation is expected with minor
accumulations across the high terrain in portions of Elko county.
Sprinkles/flurries are possible in the valley locations of Elko
county. Lows will be in the 20s and 30s.

For Wednesday and Wednesday night, look for the cold front to
move very slowly southward. Northwest winds will once again be
breezy with speeds of 10 to 20 mph and gusts to 30 mph. Most
locations will see a mix of clouds and sun. High temperatures will
be a few degrees cooler in the north various the previous day`s
highs with readings in the 50s and 60s. In the central parts, look
for slightly warming conditions with highs in the mid 60s to mid
70s. This quiet weather will continue through the overnight with
winds diminishing by early morning.

.LONG TERM...Thursday through next Tuesday

Warm and dry conditions expected through the rest of the week as
high pressure influences the western U.S. Afternoon highs will
warm into the 60s and 70s by this weekend, with overnight lows in
the 40s and 50s. Winds will be breezy out of the west- northwest
at 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph at higher elevations and
summits. A couple of weak disturbances flatten the ridge by Friday
and next Monday. Not much changes expected except increasing
west-southwest winds and isolated rain showers mainly across
northern Nevada early next week.

&&

.AVIATION...VFR conditions expected for all terminals over the
next 24 hour period. Increasing mid to upper-level cloud cover
(10KFT and above) will move from west to east as a weak cold front
moves across the area. Breezy winds from the WNW expected to
affect all TAF sites Wednesday afternoon, increasing to 10-15
knots with gusts as high as 20-25 knots at KEKO, KELY, and KTPH.

&&

.HYDROLOGY...Many streams, creeks and rivers across northern and
central Nevada have elevated flows. Dry conditions are expected
for the remainder of the week, however temperatures will be
trending warmer. This will enhance the melting of the remaining
mid and high elevation snowpack.
