THE JUNE THROUGH AUGUST SUMMER SEASON WAS WETTER THAN NORMAL AND
TEMPERATURES WERE NEAR NORMAL AT FARGO HECTOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION OF 12.20 INCHES WAS 2.95 INCHES ABOVE
NORMAL. THE MEAN TEMPERATURE WAS 68.6 DEGREES WHICH IS ONLY 0.2
DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 68.8 DEGREES. THIS IS NEAR NORMAL SEASON
IS DUE TO A WARMER JUNE AND JULY FOLLOWED BY A COOLER AUGUST.

TWO DAILY RAINFALL RECORDS WERE SET WITH 2.2 INCHES ON JULY 8
BREAKING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 1.15 INCHES SET IN 1994 AND
1.4 INCHES ON JUNE 29 BREAKING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 1.36 INCHES
ET IN 1887. THERE WAS ALSO ONE TEMPERATURE RECORD BROKEN ON JUNE 8
WHEN THE HIGH OF 93 DEGREES BROKE THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 92 SET IN
1972.
