Critical to near critical fire weather conditions will be likely for the southern mountain region below 7500 feet for today through the end of the week. Over the remainder of the district, meteorological conditions for extreme fire behavior will occur over the San Luis Valley region over the next several days, however fuels are not critical over this location. Meteorologically, over the next 7 days it will mainly be dry across the district. Only isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are possible, and if these storms do develop, they will produce very little, if any, wetting rain. Temperatures will be around seasonable values across the district during the next 7 days.
