Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A low pressure trough of 29.9 inches will extend from
northern Ontario to the Plains states while a high pressure ridge
of 30.2 inches remains near the East Coast through tonight. Low
pressure of 29.6 inches over Manitoba will track east, reaching
James Bay Thursday. Its associated cold front will cross Lake
Superior Thursday afternoon and night. As the low moves across
Quebec on Friday, high pressure of 30.3 inches will build
southeast toward the Northern Plains. This high will then drift
across the western Great Lakes over the weekend.
