   ANZ500-080800-  1058 PM EDT Thu May 7 2026      .SYNOPSIS FOR THE TIDAL POTOMAC AND MD PORTION OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY...    High pressure will build from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic  tonight through Friday night before moving offshore on Saturday.  Another cold front and wave of low pressure will approach from the  Ohio River Valley on Sunday, then move offshore Monday.  Northwesterly wind gusts may briefly approach 20 knots late tonight  into early Friday morning over the middle Chesapeake Bay and lower  tidal Potomac River. Westerly wind gusts could approach 20 knots  Friday afternoon over the upper Chesapeake Bay and upper tidal  Potomac River. More widespread gusts around 20 knots are possible  out of the south late Friday evening through Saturday afternoon, and  again Sunday afternoon and evening. Northerly wind gusts of 20 to  25 knots are possible Monday.    $$
