Effective July 7, 2015, NWS will implement changes to the icons depicted on all of its Point Forecast pages. Highlights will include new icons with increased clarity, 6-hour increments for rapidly changing weather and new color blocks to highlight forecast hazards.

Severe weather threat continues and flash flooding returns to portions of the Plains Thursday

The severe weather threat will continue over portions of the Plains on Thursday. Large hail and damaging winds are the primary threats. Moderate to heavy rain will also be possible, mainly across the southern Plains, returning the flash flood threat to an area with already saturated soils.
