Storm activity remains north of the terminals. A few VC showers
are possible. Remnant outflow boundaries from those storms may
stay toward the terminal in the next couple of hours.
SE winds at DEN and APA will become more southerly drainage at
08-14 kts around midnight. Confidence in the winds is lower for
Wednesday. This is because of the uncertainty in how the Denver
cyclone sets up toward the afternoon. If the circulation stays
more north, DEN will stay southerly. There is also a chance winds
go NNE or NE. BJC will more likely stay light northerly in either
of these scenarios. There is a low chance for scattered
thunderstorms in the afternoon (< 30%). There will likely be some
shower/storm activity around the terminals (at least DEN). This
will bring the usual threat of brief variable gusts 25-35 kts with
convective showers/storms. Winds return to southerly after 00Z.

KALS...VFR conditions through the next 24 hours. A few showers
may be possible Wednesday afternoon across the San Luis Valley.
If a shower moves across the terminal, briefly reduced CIGS and
VIS along with gusty winds would be possible. Overall
confidence in this occuring is low.
KCOS...southeasterly low level flow will lead to low stratus
development overnight with MVFR CIGS. Low stratus looks to break
up by early Wednesday morning. Showers and thunderstorms are
forecast to develop near the terminal during the afternoon and
evening hours. The main storm impacts would be reduced CIGS and
VIS along with gusty winds.
KPUB...easterly low level winds will lead to low stratus
development overnight with MVFR CIGS forecast. This lower
stratus should dissipate by Wednesday morning. There is a low
probability of showers and thunderstorms by late afternoon near
the terminal, with reduced CIGS, VIS and gusty winds all

outflow winds are likely through around 06Z. Light southeast winds
will prevail with mostly clear conditions once showers taper off
through around 16Z. A cold front will transition winds to northwest
around 16Z, with gusts around 20 knots through the afternoon. Clouds
will increase, with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms
from roughly 20-00Z. Gusty, erratic outflow winds are likely with
showers and thunderstorms.
.REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...Isolated showers for southwest
Wyoming and northern Utah capable of gusty, erratic outflow winds
will last through around 06Z. Mostly clear conditions with light
winds are likely after. A cold front will track into northwest Utah
around 12Z, sweeping across southwest Wyoming and northern Utah
through the morning and southern Utah through the afternoon and
evening. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely
from roughly 20-03Z, with southwest Wyoming and northern Utah most
likely to get gusty, erratic outflow winds.

VFR conditions will prevail through the first half of the TAF
period. Clouds will begin to increase over northwestern
portions after 12Z, as a cold front approaches the area. Showers
will be confined to this area through 18Z as well. Winds will
increase at all terminals after 18Z, as the cold front makes its
way over the area, resulting in gusts of 25 to 30 kt through
the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will become more
widespread through the afternoon, as the cold front progresses
eastward. Most, if not all, terminals have a chance to be
directly impacted, with KCOD and KWRL having the best chances.
The wind will be the main impact, but IFR visibilities/MVFR
ceilings and higher wind gusts could occur if a thunderstorm
moves directly over a terminal. Showers and thunderstorms will
become more confined over northern portions of the forecast area
after 00Z, becoming more isolated through 06Z.

Thunderstorm activity has ended across the area, but a modest
low-level jet is kicking up over the plains that will bring
occasionally gusty southerly winds. This flow in a fairly moist
environment may allow for some low clouds and/or fog to form
near KCYS or KSNY. The probability is too low to add as a
prevailing group, but there is about a 30% probability of IFR at
KCYS and 15% at KSNY between now and 12-13z.
Another round of thunderstorms is expected Wednesday afternoon.
this is expected to start in WY around 20z and move into the NE
panhandle around 21-22z. Most of this activity should be
concluded by around 02z. The highest confidence in t-storm
impacts is at KSNY, but have VCTS in for most other terminals.
Storms will have the potential to produce gusty winds, brief
MVFR/IFR with heavy rainfall, and hail.

Winds will become southerly overnight as moisture advection
continues. Am watching for some patchy fog/stratus potential
around sunrise due to the continued moisture advection, recently
saturated boundary layer and light winds. At this time KGLD may
be the only terminal affected. Winds will remain southerly
throughout the day with sustained breezy winds around 20 knots
continuing. Another round of storms perhaps severe moves into W
Kansas after 00Z Thursday. Confidence isn`t as high at KMCK so
will leave the mention out for now.

VFR conditions are forecast to start this TAF cycle. Some gusty
winds may continue for a few hours but they should decrease to 15
kts or less in a few hours. Low clouds will move in at the TAF
sites near 12z through around 18z and MVFR ceilings are forecast.
Winds during the daytime hours will be out of the southeast.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible at the terminals late in
this TAF cycle, but confidence is not high enough to mention at
this time.

Isolated showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two will continue
to be possible east of the central mountain chain through the late
night hours, but the main concern will be widespread low clouds
producing MVFR and localized IFR conditions for the remainder of
tonight until mid morning Wednesday. These low clouds are likely
to push into Santa Fe with MVFR conditions for a few hours around
sunrise. The worst of the ongoing gusty easterly gap wind at KSAF,
KABQ, and Carrizozo should occur over the next couple hours, then
wind speeds will trend gradually weaker. Scattered to isolated
showers and thunderstorms will develop along and east of the
Sangre de Cristo Mountains Wednesday afternoon and evening, and
also across the east central and southeast plains. Isolated and
mostly dry virga showers and thunderstorms will also be found
elsewhere across the northern mountains and upper Rio Grande
Valley Wednesday afternoon with brief and localized dry
microburst wind gusts potentially reaching up to 45 KT including
KSAF, Espanola, and KSKX.
