Clear and mild conditions have dominated the region during the night.
Overnight lows have ranged from near 70 in Southwest Kansas to the low 70s
in Eastern Kansas.  Winds have been light and out of the south at 5 to 10
mph.

Today will be mostly sunny and hot.  Afternoon highs will range from the
low 90s in Western Missouri to the low 100s in Southwest Kansas and into
the Panhandles of Oklahoma and Texas.  Winds will be out of the south at 7
to 12 mph.

Tonight, will be partly to mostly cloudy with a chance for showers and
thunderstorms early.  Areas of Western and Northeast Kansas will be the
 most likely areas to see thunderstorm activity.  Some of these storms
could be locally strong to severe.  Overnight lows will range from the
low 70s in Northern Oklahoma to the low 60s in Northwest Kansas and
Southwest Nebraska. Winds will be out of the east at 5 to 10 mph.
