At 1126 PM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally north of
I44, also east of a Eufaula to Hugo line and also in Arkansas west
of I49. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located in
Nowata, Rogers and Craig counties in Oklahoma. The precipitation was
in the Tulsa area. Movement was to the east at around 40 mph. The
average amount where it rained last hour was one tenth to one
quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of an inch and a half to two
inches. Intensity increased during the last hour. The Tulsa area
forecast for overnight, mostly cloudy then becoming partly cloudy, a
chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may be
severe .
